Does my state have a TRI program?
EPCRA Section 313 requires facilities to submit reports to both EPA and their State. Many States have their own TRI programs and State Contacts.
What's the TRI State Data Exchange?
The TRI State Data Exchange (SDX) is a collaborative effort among states, tribes, and the EPA to provide real-time access to higher quality TRI data while saving time, resources, and money for states, tribes, territories and regulated facilities. Link to state data exchange page
If I am representing a state not on the TRI State Data Exchange, what do I do with the data facilities submit to my state?
Although the best option to manage your data is to join the TRI State Data Exchange, EPA has made available UTIL software that will allow you to key your data into a database.
Where can I find the annual State Utility (UTIL) software?
UTIL is software developed by EPA that allows states to convert TRI-ME flat files into a relational database format. EPA will not be supporting the UTIL software for TRI-MEweb.
State Utility Software: UTIL RY2007
IMPORTANT UPDATE: The updated version of the RY 2007 UTIL Software is now available (May 27, 2008). The original RY 2007 UTIL software posted prior to May 27 did not have the ability to store the newly expanded Basis of Estimate codes that accompany quantity values in sections 5 and 6 of the form R. The revised copy, posted below for download, does now have this capability. If you have already downloaded and installed UTIL prior to May 27, please replace it with the copy below.
