EPA is proposing a new rule that tailors drinking water rule requirements to the unique characteristics of aircraft.

Prescription Drugs in Drinking Water...
Studies have shown that pharmaceuticals are present in some of our nation's waterbodies. Further research suggests that there may be some ecological harm when certain drugs are present. To date, no evidence has been found of human health effects from pharmaceutical and personal care products in the environment. This includes drinking water sources.

Contaminant Candidate List 3 - EPA is asking for public comment on a list of 104 possible drinking water contaminants that may need to be regulated in the future to ensure the continued protection of drinking water. Under the Safe Drinking Water Act, EPA includes on the draft Contaminant Candidate List (CCL) currently unregulated contaminants that are known or anticipated to occur in public water systems and which may require regulation. Young Boy Drinking a glass of waterNew Advisory Committee on Total Coliform Rule (TCR) Distribution Systems Announced - EPA has established a Total Coliform Rule Distribution System Advisory Committee to provide advice and make recommendations to the Agency on revisions to the Total Coliform Rule (TCR) and on what information about distribution systems is needed to better understand the public health impact from the degradation of drinking water quality in distribution systems.
